Getting started with RotaProof
Set up your RotaProof account, add your first workers and sites, and record your first right-to-work check in about ten minutes.
RotaProof keeps a record of the right-to-work check you do on each person who works for you. Here's how to get going.
- Create your account. Go to Create an account and enter your company name, your name, your email and a password. Tick Add made-up sample workers if you'd like something to explore first. You start on a 30-day free trial with everything in Operations, for up to 10 workers. Choose a plan from Your plan whenever you're ready.
- Confirm your email and log in. We'll email you a link. Open it, then log in with the email and password you chose. Until you've clicked the link you can look around, but you can't add or change anything. More about this.
- Add a worker. Click Add a worker, then fill in their name, the type of worker and the date they started. Not sure of the type? Here's how to choose.
- Record their check. RotaProof takes you straight to the check form. Say when and how you checked them, and upload a copy of the document or the online result. Step-by-step guide.
- Look at your home screen. Your to-do list shows anyone who still needs sorting out. When it's empty, you're in good shape.
A quick tour starts the first time you log in. It points out each part of RotaProof. To take it again, click Show me around in the menu. Finding your way around.
What next?
- Add everyone, including self-employed cleaners and agency staff: choosing the right type of worker.
- Find out what the colours and labels mean: what each status means.
- See what an inspector would get: inspection packs.
- See what your plan includes and how to change it: plans and what's included.
This guide explains how to use RotaProof. It isn't legal advice. For the rules themselves, the Home Office's employer's guide to right to work checks is the final word.
