Confirming your email address
Why we ask, what you can do before you confirm, and how to get a new link.
Why we ask
Confirming your email makes sure the account really belongs to you, and that password reset emails will reach you.
What you can do before confirming
| You can | You can't yet |
|---|---|
| Look at your home screen, workers and their checks, the worker type questions and the inspection pack page. | Add or edit workers, record checks, upload files, add agencies, or download documents and packs. |
Getting the link
- We send the link as soon as you create your account. It works for three days. Open it, then log in with the password you chose.
- Can't find it? Check your junk folder.
- Still nothing, or it's expired? Log in and click Resend the link in the yellow bar at the top of RotaProof. You can ask for a new link once a minute.
- Tried to sign up again with the same email? We don't create a second account. Instead we email you links to log in or reset your password.
Resetting your password with an emailed link also confirms your email address.
This guide explains how to use RotaProof. It isn't legal advice. For the rules themselves, the Home Office's employer's guide to right to work checks is the final word.
